A warm voice in your editor says "done", "failed" or "I need you" the moment it happens.
For Claude Code · Cursor · Windsurf · Antigravity
Stop babysitting
your AI agent.
Companion tells you when it's done.
AI agents take minutes to finish, then sit there waiting for you. Companion tells you the second yours is done, stuck or needs a yes. Out loud in your editor, and on your phone when you've walked away.
- Never miss a permission prompt again
- Go get lunch. Your phone gets the message
- Free to start. No API key, no card
Works in VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf and Antigravity. Set up in about a minute.
› add rate limiting to the login page reading src/auth/login.ts editing 4 files running the tests
“Your agent needs your permission. Come and take a look.”
Step away and the alert follows you to Telegram. It waits until you're really gone, so it never nags.
One radar for all the agent sessions you've got running, and which one needs you.
Why you need this
You send the prompt. You switch tabs. You check. Nothing. You check again. Turns out the agent has been sitting on a permission prompt for six minutes, waiting for you, while you refreshed a tab.
Companion fixes the waiting, not the agent. You get on with your life, and it taps you on the shoulder only when it matters.
Without Companion
- You keep checking the terminal
- The agent waits ten minutes for a "yes"
- You find out the build failed at 5 pm
- Five agents, five tabs, no idea which needs you
With Companion
- You work. It speaks up when it matters
- You hear the question within seconds
- Your phone tells you the second it fails
- One radar shows every agent and what it needs
Up and running in a minute
No account to start. No API key. Nothing to configure.
- 1
Install it
Search Companion in the Extensions view of VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf or Antigravity.
- 2
Connect your agent
Run Companion: Connect an AI Agent and pick yours. It backs up the agent's hooks file first.
- 3
Walk away
Give the agent a task and go. Companion calls you when it's done, stuck or needs you.
Want Telegram alerts or Naija Pro? Sign in from the Companion panel with your email. It takes a minute, and you only need it for those.
Hear what you'd hear
A normal afternoon with Companion. Press play on any of these. They're the real recordings.
-
You hand Claude Code a big task, then open something else.
-
Still going, nothing needs you.
Still working“Hey, I'm still here. Your agent is still working. Hang in there.”
Every few minutes. Never the same line twice.
-
A test breaks.
Failed“Heads up, your tests failed. Red today, green soon.”
Failures jump the queue.
-
The agent stops and asks permission.
Needs you“Your agent needs your permission. Come and take a look.”
You find out in seconds, not in ten minutes. (Approval alerts come from Claude Code.)
-
The agent runs the same failing command again and again.
Looks stuck“Your agent looks stuck. A nudge from you might be all it needs.”
Companion says "looks stuck" after three identical failures, fifteen steps of real work with no file changed, or a run far longer than usual.
-
All done. Prefer Pidgin?
Done, in Pidgin“E don land! Six minutes. Evening work, correct.”
ProPidgin mode comes with Pro.
-
You're back from lunch.
Welcome back“Welcome back. 1 agent failed, 2 finished. Claude Code in billing failed, in 2 minutes. Claude Code in docs-site finished, in 4 minutes. Cursor in web-app finished, in 6 minutes.”
A recap in under twenty seconds. Pro adds one sentence about each finished task.
Walk away. It follows you.
Alerts reach you at your desk first. If you don't answer, or you've already left, Companion messages you on Telegram.
❌ Cursor · web-app failed (2m 1s)
✅ Claude Code · docs-site finished (6m 40s)
✅ Windsurf · billing finished (1m 5s)
- Doesn't nag
At your desk you hear it and get a notification. A question or failure you ignore goes to Telegram after a minute. A finished task waits until you've been idle for about two and a half minutes, so it never pings you while you're still working.
- One message, not ten
Alerts within 30 seconds of each other arrive together, and each change of status is sent once.
- Got it stops everything
Press it on your phone, or just come back to your desk, and nothing more is sent. Mute one agent for an hour right from the message.
- Quiet at night
Nothing between 11pm and 7am except failures, unless you choose otherwise.
- Only what you need
The status, which agent, the folder name and how long it took. When an agent asks you something, the question, so you can answer. Never your code.
Every agent, one glance.
Run two Claude Codes and a Cursor at once? The Agent Radar lists each session with its status, how long it has been running and what it did last. The status bar says "2 running · 1 needs you", and a click opens the radar.
Free follows your most recent session. Pro shows them all.

Companion listens through each agent's official hooks, so it only reports what the agent tells it.
| Agent | Needs approval | Asks a question | Build or test fails | Task finishes | Agent errors | Pro summary |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Claude Code | ||||||
| Cursor | * | |||||
| Windsurf | * | |||||
| Antigravity | † | † |
* Cursor and Windsurf don't send a "question" signal, so Companion spots a reply that ends in a question mark.
† Antigravity's finish hook carries no reply text, so Companion reads the walkthrough Antigravity writes after bigger tasks. Small tasks get no summary.
None of the three says when it's waiting for approval, so Companion can't announce that for them.
Free means free.
No trial. No card. This is what you get for ₦0.

- Agent Radar
Every agent session with its status: running, finished, asked a question, waiting, failed or looks stuck. The free plan follows your most recent session.
- It tells you when it looks stuck
The same command failing the same way three times, fifteen steps of real work with no file changed, or a run far longer than usual.
- Telegram when you walk away
If it needs you and you don't answer, or you've stepped away after a finish, the alert follows you to your phone. Up to 20 messages a month.
- A recap when you come back
A spoken rundown, under twenty seconds, of what finished, failed or is waiting, with how long each took. It's read in your computer's voice on the free plan.

How fast you answer your agents, how many stuck runs were caught, and how many alerts reached your phone, for the last 7 days. Measured, never guessed.
- One voice, all your windows
Open five editor windows and only one of them talks.

Cmd/Ctrl+Alt+S shuts it up instantly. Mute it, or have it say that again.
Naija Pro
Where it starts to understand your work.
Claude writes a wall of text when it finishes. Pro reads it for you.
I've added rate limiting to the login endpoint in src/auth/login.ts using a sliding window of 5 attempts per minute. I also updated the error message on the sign-in page, added 4 tests in login.test.ts covering the limit, the reset and the error copy, and ran the full suite. All 52 tests pass and the build succeeds. One thing to decide: should admins be exempt from the limit, or should they go through the same flow as everyone else?
Companion reads it so you don't have to
“Done in twelve minutes. Your agent added rate limiting to the login page, and all fifty-two tests pass.”
- Spoken task summaries
When the task is done, hear what changed and whether the tests passed. Up to 20 a day, each one short enough to hear in about 8 seconds; after that Companion reads the agent's own wrap-up until tomorrow.
- Chat with Companion
Ask about the news, or just talk while you wait. Short answers, read out loud.
- Push-to-talk
Ctrl+Alt+T, say your piece, press it again. Companion answers back.
- Every agent on the radar
Run as many sessions as you like, across Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf and Antigravity, and see all of them at once.
- Unlimited Telegram
No monthly cap on phone messages. WhatsApp alerts are coming for Pro too.
- A sentence for each finished task
Your away recap adds one plain sentence about what each agent did, read in the Nigerian voice.
- Your full history
Weekly numbers for 7, 30 and 90 days, kept for a year, so you can see yourself getting faster.
- Naija Pidgin mode
Every alert, reminder and gist in Pidgin. "Make you drink water, oga."
- Every wellbeing reminder
Eyes, posture, walks, lunch, a daily limit, a wrap-up. Plus your own.
- News every hour
Fresh gists on AI, tech, Nigeria, business and sports. Stories you already heard are skipped.
- Choose your voice
Nigerian, British or American. A natural-sounding voice for every alert, reminder and summary, so you can have the accent you like best. The free plan uses the Nigerian voice.
Two options. That's it.

Things people ask
Which editors and agents does it work with?
The editors are VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf and Antigravity. It listens to Claude Code, Cursor's agent, Windsurf's Cascade and Antigravity's agent through their official hooks, and to builds and tests you run as VS Code tasks. The table above shows what each one can tell Companion.
Why can't it tell me when Cursor or Antigravity wants approval?
Those editors don't send that signal to outside tools. Companion only uses their official hooks, so it can't hear what they don't say. It still tells you when the agent finishes or fails.
Will it slow my agent down?
No. The hooks run in the background and always finish instantly. Companion can never block or break your agent.
Does my code leave my computer?
No. Alerts and reminders run on your machine, and only the news gist is downloaded. With Pro summaries, the agent's final message goes to our server and AI provider to be summarised. We don't store it. Phone messages carry only the status, the agent's name, the folder name and how long it took.
How does it know I have walked away?
From VS Code itself: typing, saving, switching tabs and focusing a window. Two minutes with none of that and you count as away. It can't see what you do in other apps, so if you're reading and not clicking it may think you've left. It always waits at least a minute, and a finished task waits until you've been idle for about two and a half minutes, so it won't ping you while you're still working. Coming back or pressing Got it cancels the message.
Will my phone buzz all night?
No. Quiet hours run from 11pm to 7am by default, and only failures come through. You can change the hours, add other statuses, mute one agent for an hour from the message, or hide the folder name.
What does "looks stuck" mean?
It's a guess from three signs: the same command failing the same way three times, fifteen steps of real work with no file changed, or a run that has gone on for more than 20 minutes and three times your usual. Reading and searching don't count, so a long research task isn't flagged. The agent may be fine, so Companion says it looks stuck, never that it is. Claude Code reports every step and gets all three. The other agents get the time rule and repeated failing commands.
Do I need my own API keys?
No. Everything that needs a key runs on our server, so there is nothing to set up.
It talks too much. Help.
Chill says just the facts. Playful adds a bit of personality. Full Gist goes all in. Pick one in settings, or mute it with one key.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
In Naira, through Squad, with a card, a bank transfer or USSD. You pay for 30 days or a year at a time. By default it never renews by itself, so there is no surprise charge: pay again whenever you like and the time is added to what you have left. If you would rather not think about it, tick Renew automatically when you pay by card. We charge the card again a day before your time ends, and you can turn it off in one click.
